Planting Seeds of Healing: How to Create a Summer Self-Care Ritual

Whew. Can you believe June is already here?!

If you’re anything like me, this season feels like a deep exhale after a long, heavy stretch. The sun’s out longer, everything’s in bloom, and maybe—just maybe—you’re starting to feel ready to water yourself again.

Summer has a softer rhythm. It invites us to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and honor our growth, energy, and intuition. Around here, we believe healing happens in seasons—and this one is all about nourishment.

So I wanted to share a simple, soul-grounding self-care ritual you can carry with you this month. Nothing rigid or overwhelming—just small, sacred ways to tend to your own inner garden.

Let’s bloom, gently. Shall we?

1. Start with a mantra you actually feel
You know I love a good affirmation. This one came through during one of my meditations:
“I allow myself to grow with ease, rooted in truth and love.”
Say it out loud. Write it on a post-it. Stick it on your mirror, your fridge, your heart—wherever you need the reminder.

2. Get outside (even if it’s just your front step)
Nature regulates your nervous system so fast, it’s wild.

Sit on the porch with your tea.

Walk barefoot in the grass.

Pick a flower and put it in a jar.

Let it be simple. Let it be easy. Let it be enough.

️ 3. Make one night a week sacred
Light a candle. Take a bath. Put your phone on DND.
This doesn’t have to be fancy—just consistent. You’re teaching your body it’s safe to rest, safe to receive, safe to be with yourself.

4. Journal with heart (not pressure)
Here are a few gentle prompts to meet yourself this season:

What do I actually need right now?

What am I ready to release?

What kind of energy do I want to invite in?

✨ Feeling called to go deeper?
Try this shadow prompt:

“What coping patterns kept me safe, but are now keeping me stuck?”

Honor what comes up. No judgment. No shame. Just observe.

Final Thoughts
This season is about growth—but growth doesn’t mean hustle.

It means allowing. Softening. Rooting deeper into yourself.

You’re not behind. You’re right on time.

Sending you love, rest, and everything you need to bloom,
